Your role at Sephora:
As a Talent Specialist, you are a salaried member of the store leadership team responsible for ensuring all personnel activities such as recruiting, onboarding, training, and scheduling run efficiently. Reporting to the Store Director, you will act as their "right hand" during an employee's life cycle and work closely with HR on people development and employee concerns. In addition, you will:

  • Act as "Director in Charge" when necessary. You will set the tone on stage by keeping consultants motivated and handle any client or brand issues efficiently and effectively

  • Ensure all Sephora employment policies and procedures are adhered to and escalate employee relations issues to HR as necessary

  • Set store recruiting goals with Store Director; manage all recruiting activities such as scheduling and conducting interviews, reference checks, job fairs, background checks, extending offers, and new hire paperwork

  • Ensure store leadership executes consistent and timely delivery of performance appraisals and formal development conversations

  • Supervise and train consultants/advisors to develop their client service skills and product knowledge

We think you'd be a great for this role if you have:

  • 2-5 years' retail management or service industry experience in a fast-pace store environment (years of experience required is dependent on store volume)

  • Flexible availability to work during "peak" retail hours such as nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays

  • Demonstrated passion for leading teams, developing others, and delivering an excellent client experience to every customer entering your store

  • Excellent communication skills and retail business acumen

Our legal team wants you to know what's required:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and bend/stretch to stock shelves

  • Handle and apply cosmetics products to clients, including fragrance

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
