Bayside, NY Bayside, NY Full-time Full-time $65,000 - $85,000 a year $65,000 - $85,000 a year The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Association.
The position requires the ED to carry out and implement the decisions of the Board of Directors and its officers.
To do so the ED will work on a regular basis with the President and various members of the Board of Directors.
In addition, the ED is the primary liaison with both new and existing members of the organization.
Another very important function of the ED is to help grow membership and maintain it by providing members with responsiveness and education as to the benefits of the organization.
The ED Must be able to work independently and as a cooperative team member.

Responsibilities:
Serve as QBBA's primary liaison for members and the primary spokesperson on behalf of our members.
Organize, coordinate, and oversee all events with respect to budgets, speakers, facilities, technology, equipment, logistical requirements, and other related issues.
Board Meetings (monthly) General Membership Meetings (monthly) Legislative Breakfast- (several times a year) Golf Outing (annually) Lobby Day in Albany (annually) Building Awards Gala (annually) Trade Show (annually) Committee Meetings (as needed) Networking Events (several times a year) Meetings with legislators (virtual or in person a few times a year) Prepares, distributes flyers, agendas, and minutes for all meetings and keep track of attendance.
Negotiates terms, executes, and administers multiple contracts with facilities for events.
Run and manage the Association and handle all the aspects of a one-person office.
Daily administrative duties, process and maintain all administrative records for credit cards, bank reconciliations, order and maintain office supplies, purchasing, accounting, answer phone, emails, taxes, billing for dues and events, and budgets.
Maintain QBBA Website.
Attend all State and local meetings (several times a year).
Solicits new members with social media, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Serve as a resource to our members and encourage participation and attendance of events.
Prepare and submit Lobbyist filing for State and City (annually).
Generate Quarterly newsletter.
Liaison with outside accountant for preparing all year-end financials.
Maintain D & O Insurance.
Safety Group -Work with Durnan Group on a daily basis, track commission received, and set up quarterly meetings.
Responsible for planning, organization, and direction of the organization's operations and programs.
Oversees and reports on the organization's results for the board of directors.
Ensures that services and funding relationships are robust enough to meet or exceed strategic goals and objectives.
The working hours will be flexible to allow for working from home and the QBBA office.
